BASE PLATE

This is a fairly simple drawing to reproduce and you will only need a 30/60/90 triangle besides your T-square and scale to draw the entire thing. As the first step suggests though, make sure you find the center of your paper first because this drawing will take up most of your work space and you want enough room for dimensions at the margins.

Locate the center of your workspace by drawing light diagonals 

Draw center lines

Set off vertical and horizontal distances

Draw vertical and horizontal construction lines

Draw angled construction lines

Clean up drawing, darken final object lines and add dimensions.
