Architecture
Architecture refers to the designing of buildings as well as the building themselves. When you refer to Roman architecture a certain style comes to mind, or colonial, ranch, craftsman. These are all architectural styles, and while we will touch on many of these, the main focus of ARCHItechTURE is to go in depth into the actual design process and the components of a building and how to use software to produce drawings that meet industry standards.
The frame of a building can be thought of like its skeletal structure. It is what holds the building up and all other components attach to it. There is some basic nomenclature that is standard across industry that we will go over in this section, as well as the materials used. We also will go into why things are a certain way when constructing a building and what are the advantages of doing things this way.
